FAQ1. The most often asked, of course, is "How do they stick?" There is a special skin adhesive built into the sandal that adheres to your feet. There is no "sticky" residue left on the skin when the sandal is removed. This adhesive will continue to adhere to the feet until they get soiled or dirty. 2. "How do you clean them?" Simply clean with water, a mild detergent that is free of lotions (anti-bacterial soap, Dawn dish detergent, etc.) and a brush such as a fingernail or dish brush. Scrub gently, rinse and let air dry and you're good to go again. 3. "How long does the adhesive last?" As I have said, the sandals will get dirty and need to be scrubbed. Longevity depends on how much you wear them and proper maintenance. Some people have worn them for two or more years and they still bond well with the feet. 4. "How do you store them?" When you aren't wearing your topless sandals, you can store them clean and dry in a large Ziploc freezer bag. Some people just store them out in the open. There is a clear plastic piece (release paper) that you will have to peel off the sandals the first time you wear them. This keeps the sandals from sticking to the packaging. Once off, dispose the plastic piece. Reusing it will affect the quality of the adhesive. 5. "Can I wear these in sand?" We suggest a clean and dry environment, however, you can wear them on hard sand, but remember that sand acts as a sandpaper to remove the glue. If you do wear them on sand, make sure you scrub them before putting them back on. 6. "What about water?" The sandals will release if you walk into the ocean, river, deep water puddles, etc. Don't wear them in a heavy rain. To make the sandals stick properly you need CLEAN, DRY feet and CLEAN, DRY sandals. Also make sure that after wearing shoes and socks that you do scrub your feet. Sometimes natural oils from your shoes or sock lint will be on the bottom of your feet. Scrubbing removes any dirt or oils from your skin. 7. "Can my dog wear them?"
